For those of you who noticed: I removed a LOT of people from my friends list recently. It's nothing personal. I hardly ever check LJ anymore and when I do there are only a handful of entries that I read so.. yeah.. that's all. I'm on facebook if you want to add me there - "christopher brooks brown".

Did you ever wish a movie would just get to the point? I have always thought Dead Children's Playground should have been much shorter so today I decided to do something about it. I cut out enough fat to reduce it from 20 minutes to 8 while still (I think) preserving the story. There's still plenty of strong language so it's probably NSFW.

I recently took over booking at the Flying Monkey so I have been spending a substantial amount of my free time fielding emails and checking out myspace pages. It's tough keeping up with all this stuff - I don't know how Cat stayed on top of it as long as she did. In addition to bringing back several of our favorite recent acts, I have been trying to branch out a bit to draw in some fresh blood. Here are a couple I'm particularly excited about.

[info]theverticalbar tagged everyone for 16 of these but I got 8 and gave up.. then [info]outcelgeist tagged me for 8 so here ya go..

16 8 Random Things About Me

1. I am a Wu Wei master.

2. All of my life I have been surrounded by artists, musicians, thespians and creative people of every sort. I love them.

3. In grade school I was a strong contender for Weirdest Hyperactive Kid in Class. I had long, straight, blondish hair and adults frequently mistook me for a girl.

4. I worked in bars doing sound for about 15 years. I loved some of it. I hated some of it. I never really felt like I fit in.

5. I was born Mormon but I stopped going to church when I was 8 so I totally don't remember any of it. I thought we were Baptists because at the time our church rented space from a Baptist church.

6. I enjoy all genres of music but that which is closest to my heart is hypnotic electronic music. I've been seeking it out since I got my first Kraftwerk album around 1980. I wish we had more of that sort of thing at the Monkey but I don't think there's enough of an audience to support it.

7. As a child, I had what felt like OOBEs. Later, they were more like panic attacks but I had never heard of those back then. I taught myself some basic meditation techniques and they mostly went away. They still happen sometimes but now they have pills for that sort of thing.

8. For years I didn't own a car and walked or rode a bicycle everywhere I went. Now, my right ankle, knee and hip start to hurt after walking just a half mile or so.

I generally prefer not to tag people so do it if you feel like it..

The Loverboy

Random Gentle Love Master (RGLM)

The Loverboy

FACT:You embody the German principle of Konstantzusammenschaft, which is best described in English (without using the obscure English word "sammenschaft") as "eternal togethermanship".

Well-liked. Well-established. You are The Loverboy. Loverboys thrive in committed, steady relationships—as opposed to, say, Playboys, who want sex without too much attachment.

You've had many relationships and nearly all of them have been successful. You're a nice guy, you know the ropes, and even if you can be a little hasty with decisions, most girls think of you as a total catch. Your hastiness comes off as spontaneity most of the time anyhow, making you especially popular in your circle of friends, too.

You know not to make the typical Loverboy mistake of choosing someone who appreciates your good humor and popularity, but who offers nothing in return. You belong with someone outgoing, independent, and creative. Otherwise, you'll get bored. And then instead of surprising her with flowers or a practical joke, you'll surprise her by leaving.

Your exact male opposite:

The Billy Goat

The Billy Goat

Deliberate Brutal Sex Dreamer

Always avoid: The Nymph (DBSD)

Consider: The Window Shopper (RGLD), The Peach (RGLM)

whaddayaknow - i'm a little weird.. quiz from [info]stiney1

So, seamusMoon, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 11% unique (blame, for example, your interest in tofg) and 2% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy porn). When it comes to friends you are popular. In terms of the way you relate to people, you are wary of trusting strangers. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is intellectual.

Your overall weirdness is: 39

(The average level of weirdness is: 29.
You are weirder than 78% of other LJers.)

OK, so the Republicans have Ronald Reagan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sonny Bono and Fred "Gopher" Grandy. Do the Democrats have any famous actor/politicians?

..a very accurate quiz from [info]sliceofpisces

Your result for The Tits, Ass, and Cuteness Test...

Skinny and Cute

Raw score: 41% Big Breasts, 14% Big Ass, and 68% Cute!

Thanks for taking the T and A and C test! Based on your selections, the results are clear: you show an attraction to smaller breasts, smaller asses, and cuter composure than others who've taken the test.

Note that you scored low on both breast and ass size. This means you appreciate thinner, harder bodies. You are most likely to appreciate a super-model. Relatively, you are less attracted to round, soft, sloppy women.

My third variable, "cuteness" is a mostly objective measure of how innocent a given model looked. It's determined by a combination of a lot of factors: lack of dark eye makeup, facial expression, posture, etc. If you scored high on that variable, you are either really nice OR you're into deflowering teens. If you scored low, you are attracted to raunchier, sexier, women. In your case, your higher than average score suggests you appreciate a cuter, more innocent look. Kudos!

Recommended Celebrities: Jessica Alba, an absolute goddess, and Natalie Portman, if you can handle her acting.
